1969 MG Midget And Hydraulic Lift For Sale $6500 (Carlisle)

We are moving and I finally need to let go of my 69 Midget. I have owned this car since 1987 (31 years), having purchased it while living in San Diego. It moved east with me in 1990 and underwent a complete restoration. All rusted parts were welded, most of the metal that might get wet was coated with POR-15, wheels sandblasted and repainted. The rolling shell was repainted in a Midnight Blue (a vintage Jaguar color). It took second place in the Midget category at Larz Anderson MG Day in 1993.

The car has not been driven much since then, and has been off the road and stored for about 5 years. Only bad things happen when you store your car for that long. I replaced the fuel tank and sending unit. Carbs were recently rebuilt and work well, but presently are off the car. There are new brake, clutch master and clutch slave cylinders waiting to be installed. The front end has been rebuilt. All gauges worked last I checked, but that was a while ago. The engine is a 1970 engine that had been replaced when I bought the car. The odometer reading is irrelevant for cars this old. There is an upgraded, non-original (and loud) starter, and there is a Lumenition electronic ignition installed.

I am listing the car now but don't need to sell it immediately. But if you wanted to tow it away and do this work yourself and save some money I am listing it. Also, I am selling the hydraulic storage lift for an extra $1000 if sold with the MG. Otherwise I will sell the lift alone for $1500.

Please contact me by text at 978-758-0602 or by email at [email protected](dot)net.

1973 MG Midget For Sale

I have owned this fun buggy since summer 2014. It drove great. I stored it for over a year. Just got it out. Mechanic JE Robison cleaned carb and points. It passed 2017 state inspection. I planned to sell it asap. I drove it today. The storage was hard on it and it started a little rough but drove fine. Waxed it. Went to move it. She turns over like a charm but won’t ignite. Seems like a simple fix but I just don’t have time to deal with it and am not mechanically inclined. If you can start her, you can have her for $5000.00. Firm.

Odometer: 58781

Her history:

I have only driven it 134 miles since I've had it. The body is in good shape with minimal signs of any rust. Paint is good. Not flawless but I just clayed it and it does still take a shine. It has a new soft top. When I took ownership of it I had much of it rewired and some mechanical problems corrected by a professional mechanic who specializes in European cars, JE Robison Auto in Springfield MA. I have all the receipts from Robison.

Replaced by JE Robison Service Co. in Springfield, MA

What it needs:

I paid $5000 for her in 2014. I put $8649 into her. Granted, $5700 was labor. But $3000 for parts! I'd like to at least get my orignal $5000 back!

1978 MGB For Sale

My name is Ken, and I have a 1978 MGB. It's been in dry storage for the last 30 years. It now looks like I'll never get to restore this car due to my health. I'm not really computer savy, therefore,I can't forward pictures, only script, sorry...

The car is a 1978 MGB roadster, with rubber bumpers, all in good shape, maroon in color with autumn leaf interior, in good condition. 47440 miles, with a factory 4 speed transmission (no overdrive), AM/FM aftermarket radio which works fine, 4 factory rostyle wheels and 2 spares. Factory, removable hard top in good condition. Has a newer monza exhaust system. Car has minimal pin hole rust on the right rear quater. Interior needs new carpet, but has newer factory rubber floor mats in excellent condition. Has a 4 year old battery. Needs a new soft top, the folding top frame is in good, solid shape.

Car has always been stored inside a garage, with rodent protection. Car will be sold with a vast amount of literature, as well as some parts. I have all the factory literature, manuals, and parts interchange. Also has at least 5 years of MG Enthusiast magazines, all bound, and a lot of performance articles from Moss Motors.

As far as a price, I'd like to say $3250 or best reasonable offer.

1969 MGB GT Parts For Sale

I disassembled my 1969 MGB-GT up here in Lexington, MA earlier this year for parts. Took the smaller parts/components down to New Orleans where I live now for my '68 B-GT there. The compete front and rear wire wheel suspensions are still in Lexington. The car had 129K miles on it and I was very meticulous about greasing the front zerk fittings and changing the rear Castrol hypoid oil at the recommended intervals. The splines are all in good shape and the 4 chrome knock offs, driveshaft and all suspension bolts are included.

It would be an easy upgrade for a Boston area club member.

Please let know if you are interested.
