The monthly meeting for February was held on the 12th at the Woburn Elks Club. In attendance were Joe & Janice LeBlanc, Mike Burgess, Nels Anderson, Steve Devine, Steve McKay, Jason Hart, Denise Thorpe and Doug Snook.

This is what was discussed:

At the next meeting we will vote for the officers for the 2004-2005 Year. Here is the proposed slate:

President: Steve Devine
1st VP- Membership: Mike Nadeau
2nd VP: Ronellen/Eric Gagnon
Secretary: Janice LeBlanc
Treasurer: Mike Burgess
Director: Barbara Day

Doug is checking the bylaws to see if you can be both president and director at the same time. If this is the case Steve Devin will resign as Director and either Steve McKay or Doug Snook will seek this position. Doug will let us know before the next meeting.

A year membership runs from Jan - December. For those that have not paid their dues for the 2004 calendar year please do so now! Please contact Mike Burgess for more information.

Janice has been in touch with a local business that provided us with a catalog of apparel and other misc merchandise suitable for engraving. We can mix and match different styles and sizes. Prices seem reasonable and turnaround time will be quick. The catalog is available for all to browse. Some ideas are denim shirts, fleece pullovers, tote bags, visors and jackets. Let us know what you like!

Doug will look into a Banner for the club that we could use for a display. It would be great if it had the club logo on it.

We have started to fill the 2004 calendar - If you hear of any events, or have an idea let us know. Here are some upcoming events:

May 22nd - Our annual drive up the coast of New Hampshire/Maine with a stop to visit Sam at Brits Bits. What drive would be complete without a stop at Wild Willys (even though they may not be open!)

June 27th - British Car Day at the MOT, Brookline, MA. For more information on this show, or others at the museum, go to there web site at

July 31st - The 8th Annual All British Car Show will be held at Strawberry Banke in Portsmouth

August 6th -19th - Spokes on the Slopes Festival (Wachusett Mountain Car Show) hosted by BMCNE. There are driving events on Saturday and a Car show Sunday at 8:30 am. For more details watch for the event posted on their web site

August 15th - MG & Rover Day - Museum of Transportation, Brookline, MA. This show has been wonderful in the past, and is well worth attending. For more information on this show, or others at the museum, go to there web site at

Sept 16 - 19th - British Invasion – Stowe, VT

Columbus Day Weekend - American MGB Association is holding a show down the Cape. More information to follow.

Several Mystery Drive are in the planning stages. Doug is planning one on the south shore. Mike Burgess is talking about a drive in the Newburyport area, and Nels & Gene will treat us to all the wonders of the western suburbs in the fall. More details will be available at the next meeting.

Hopefully the weather will co-operate a little better this year so we can get in a few drives to Riley’s Roast Beef in Framingham and check out all the cool cars.

Club hats and shirts are for sale at all meetings and events. Hats are $15.00, polo shirts are $25.00 and sweatshirts are $25.00. If you would like to arrange a purchase at any other time or place, please contact Eric Gagnon to work out the details.

The next meeting will be on Thursday, March 11th at 7:00 at the THE WOBURN ELKS. The Woburn Elks is on Washington Street, which is exit 36 off of Rte 93. See you all there!
