MEETING MINUTES - JANUARY 2004
December/January Meeting Report:
Over the holidays I have neglected my duties as secretary, Sorry for the delay. Attached you will find both the December and January meeting reports:
The December meeting was held on the 11th at the Woburn Elks - It was time to celebrate the holidays with our Annual Holiday Party. Over 20 club members and their families were in attendance. The food was plentiful and again Roche Brothers did a wonderful job!
Doug held a trivia contest - Nels and Cedric both tied with the amount of correct answers - a couple of tie breaking rounds were held with Nels taking the grand prize - a car model. Congratulations to both of you for knowing the answers to the most useless information on the planet!
Thanks to each of you for your donation of unwrapped children's presents - Steve was dropping these off at a local agency - This is a wonderful way to make the holidays special for everyone. Thanks again.
The January meeting was held on the 8th also at the Woburn Elks - In attendance were Eric & Ronellen Gagnon, Joe & Janice LeBlanc, Mike Burgess, Steve Devine, Chris Devine, Paul Seeberg, Denise Thorpe and Doug Snook.
Congratulations to Paul Seeberg he had an article published in the Mass Quarterly MG Magazine about his 'Racing MG'.
Discussion was has about plans for the 2004 season. Please bring your ideas - some possibilities:
A day trip to Edaville Railroad
A Boston Red Sox Outing
Meeting venue changes
Museum of Transportation
Rileys Roast Beef Nights
Some tentative dates to keep in mind:
A Nominating Committee will be formed next meeting so elections can take place in March. Any person who would like to be a club officer can contact Doug. Any volunteers?
Doug is busy planning a rally for 2004 - possible routes are the south shore and western Mass.
Janice is looking into a club banner and also some new for sale items. Possible items are sun visors, windbreakers and a car throw. Hopefully information will be available at the next meeting.
