November 11 - Woburn Elks @ 7:00 p.m. - Monthly meeting - Discussion to include Holiday Party, Toy Donation, 2005 Schedule of Events, Membership Drive

Minutes of Meeting:

British Invasion - Stowe VT, was as usual a wonderful, well attended event! Congratulations McKay Family for placing in several events. Also, a big thank you to Steve and his wife for their hospitality Saturday night! The food and company made for an enjoyable night and those of us in front of the fireplace kept toasty warm!

For those of you who weren't able to attend - British Car Day @ Edaville Railroad Come Ride the Rails - you missed a 1st class event. Paul, you did a wonderful job pulling everything together. The DJ was awesome and really added to the event. We had several raffles, a professional photographer, and over 35 cars were in attendance. Check out the slide show Paul sent us all and you can get a sampling of the show. This was a "FREE" event - so we didn't make any money but the lessons learned will enable us to run a profitable event next year. Thanks to everyone who participated and helped out! Congratulations Steve McKay for winning 'Best of Show'!

A few Club Members attended the 27th Annual MGB Associating Meeting held in Falmouth, MA. The weather was great and they had a wonderful time.

Discussion was held regarding the Holiday Party - We will again have it catered from Roche Brothers. Steve Devine is reserving the hall for the evening of December 9th. Again, we would like each attendee to bring an unwrapped gift. Further discussion will take place next meeting regarding menu, cost and specific details. If needed a separate meeting will be held after Thanksgiving.

The BAMG web site was a hot topic for conversation, as well as the BAMG site. Paul has agreed to look into a mail/chat room in yahoo that would be monitored. This would eliminate the meaningless rambling that has occurred in the past. It was decided that the upcoming events page should be listed on the site and not a link to the calendar. (This was a problem for those uses that didn't have a yahoo account). Discussion regarding other web-based changes will continue.

Discussion about membership took place. Mainly how to get more members involved, entice new members and keep the ones we have. Doug is drafting a survey that we will distribute to all members. Getting our club more visible was brought up. The Edaville Show was a start - how do we continue?

Discussion about next year's schedule of events was brought up. It was suggested to have a master schedule that could be displayed at meetings and appended to. Also, the need to have tech sessions, lectures and in general - more informative meetings was discussed. We need to have our members want to come to our meetings!

It was decided that not only should we use the web to disperse our news but also have a quarterly newsletter that would be mailed to members. This way, those members without on-line access can still be in the loop.

The Officers of the BAMG are looking for ways to improve the club. We want to better communicate with each of you. We want to have exciting meetings and events. Any ideas you have, large or small - please bring them to the next meeting!
